H.Death watch

For a couple months when I passed the name of this blog on the way to reading something on Slate it gave me the chills to read a living person's name paired with the word deathwatch.I would quickly avert my eyes, day after day.
However given the brouhaha re her RFK remark which lasted for all of 8 seconds when she mentioned a deceased persons assasination in a rambling 20 minute explanation of why she's still in the race I had to overcome my superstition, to ask :

WHY THE DOUBLE STANDARD?

Why is okay to run a daily blog named after the death of H.C
and become so hysterical about a statement in which Obama was not even the subject?
I don't care if H.C wins or not but I do think the name of this blog is in the worst possible taste and the people who it follow the worst possible hypocrites.

Can you really be so stupid? "Deathwatch" refers to the death of her campaign, not her actual death. Please grow a brain before you post any more idiocy on this board.

As I've pointed out before, Slate has hosted at least three other Deathwatches: Paul O'Neil <link>; the Gonz-meter <link> and Rumsfeld <link>. All three of those people have left office but are quite alive and well.

RFK, on the other hand, is still dead from an assassin's bullet.

Then why not title it Hilary's campaign Deathwatch? Not so hard and much more exact.

Perhaps the bad taste explains why that shark keeps cruising by without so much as taking a nibble.

Its beyond tasteless. Because it's been done to those Repug just shows how much of a death wish it really is. It hints at glee over someone's death.

The death of her campaign? Then why the graphic..an image of her drowning?

Can you imagine the outcry were that an image of BO?

I guess you're not familiar with the concept of a metaphor. Which isn't surprising because it doesn't sound like you read a lot.
