Whoa there - the question wasn't whether she wants Obama to be assasinated, it's whether or not she was subtly suggesting that somebody should go and do just that.

There's a difference between wanting something and trying to make it happen. I highly doubt that Clinton was trying to encourage a would-be asassin.

I doubt even the Secret Service would think that there is much of a chance of someone kidnapping H.C., putting her on a tramp steamer, sailing it out of New York Harbor, and then actually scuttling the thing.

Nobody at Slate or anywhere else ever insinuated such a thing. It's interesting that Hillary's own supporters would come up with it on their own, though. Very interesting.
