Little Green Men: Person-free humans equals slaves?

Legally these non-implanted, 14 day embryos are not "persons". The notion that they are human is lost on no one especially the scientific research community. Why else would their research be so valuable for humans unless it was performed on humans?
Note the word valuable, we combine it with the idea of humans that do not legally exist as persons. It creates the very basis of a slave class. By design or by accident, we have created an inhuman class of humans who live, die and are mutilated for the benefit of curiosity, patents and profit.
Your articles honesty was refreshing but I think incomplete. We should call these embryos what they are, “Slaves for Science.” After all, we justify our treatment of them just as the Slavers of old did, "A peculiar" institution that benefits us all, no matter how unsavory. Or, if the full truth be told, does this new genetic slave class truly make us less humane and potentially even less human?
Why would growing the age of humans that are not persons not grow? Is this not based on our compelling trust in the volunteer ethics by scientists? But, are not these the scientists who disrespect the religious based ethics as backward and useless? If human rights have no scientific basis and what is human itself is flexible, then trafficking in human embryos is a growth industry. All forms of slavery always were profitable. Is there too much money on the table for ethics to endure?
