Why should Hillary quit?
by Mazfromaz

Seems like a bad dream that we're going to wake up from . . isn't ANYONE paying attention to the fact that she's won in a significant amount of states and remains popular with some key voting blocks. WHY do the Obama supporters think they are going to QUIET these voices who are supporting Hillary, by getting her to quit the race for the nomination? Should we all just forget about the 20 years of exposure Obama had to the preaching of Reverend Wright? Hillary is so obviously more mature, experienced, sensitive and TOUGH . and we NEED someone like her, at this time in history, to run our great country!

Will someone please wake me up and tell me . IT'S JUST A BAD DREAM!

Because its not a bad dream.

Senator Clinton has run a terrible campaign. She started with nearly a 40% advantage overObama in the polls. She has made mistake after mistake after mistake. Much of her defense has been to play victim while she makes bone headed comments after boneheaded comments.

This last one, a repeated reminder of an assasination possibility is so over the top that it is amazing her earlier comments upon it did not raise more of a stink than they did.

The fact remains that unless hillary wins 80% of all of the rest of the votes and gets all the rest of the super delegates she cannot win.

Its not sexist to point out that its Hillarys fault she has lost. And given her statements and actions of the last several days I stongly question her wisdom and her scruples. Her scorched earth policy is leaving many Democrats to wonder aloud if she even cares about the values od Democrats or if she simply cares about Hillary. Rightly so.

I agree, it is a bad dream. Aren't you afraid that if someone like Hillary was elected, we would stand to lose a lot of our freedoms. This is a woman that will use and justify any means to achieve her objective. This talk of assassination was a slip of the tongue - not an error in judgement or one of her infamous misspeaks. She apparently verbalized one of her thoughts.

Actually, the overall aspect of this assassination comment is similar to Hillary's decision to remain on the Michigan ballot even though she agreed that their election was not valid. It was insurance. And she now is now attempting to use it. Integrity, honesty, honor and truthfulness are not adjectives you would use in discussing Hillary. Accordingly, by staying in the race (even though it is extremely doubtful she can win and it is harmful to her Party), she is positioning herself to be in place should something unfortunate happen.

I personally think the supers should end this race right now. Hillary has crossed so far over the line that I believe she has destroyed whatever credibility she had remaining.

Because reading political opinions in an internet forum is like watching a baseball game at a sports bar. Emotions run high, there are fans of both sides who are unreasonable, and none of it implies anything about the conduct of the actual teams or the people reporting on the game.

Yes, there are people on the internet calling for Hillary to quit. That's no big deal, they're entitlted to their opinion. It's worth remembering that Obama, his people, politicians in general, and the media aren't calling for Clinton to quit. The media is saying she virtually can't win at this point, but that's not the same thing as saying she should quit. Everyone knows there's little more than a week left before the last primary, so she might as well go that far.

"WHY do the Obama supporters think they are going to QUIET these voices who are supporting Hillary, by getting her to quit the race for the nomination?"

What does one of those things have to do with the other. Is there something barring you from voicing your support of Hillary once she has dropped out? Has anyone who supports Obama told you that once she is gone you must shut up about her? Voice all you want, nothing about her staying in or leaving the race prevents you or any other Hillary supporter from being loud and proud about how great she is.

But you could, if you don't mind, cut the drama.

There's absolutely no need for people to pressure her to quit . Knowing Hilary and the things she's had to battle, that will just toughen her resolve . In a very short time we will have a nominee, either of which I will support. And neither was even close to being my first or second choice pick. She wouldn't still be in the race if she wasn't getting significant support. Its not like a 70 to 30 split! If the American public had more patience Gore might have made it through the recount but public anxiety ( abetted by the media) forced the hand of the legal system Let the game take it's course. Some people need to grow up and learn to live with the fact that American politics is corporate at best and downright corrupt at worst. And that includes the present candidates.I admit I'd rather hear someone say hope than obliterate but in some ways thats just window dressing and I know it.

Let Hillary stay in the campaign until the last contest so that no one feels cheated in the process, and so Hillary herself can come to a closure that is acceptable to her. That won't stop Obama from moving on with his own plans.
