Do Obamacrats have intellects?
by Gatewood

What did Hillary mean? She meant that famous people engaged in important political races remained in the race until they were forced out or killed.

Anyone intimating, or bluntly stating, that Hillary intended any sort of threat against Obama is simply stupid or insane or playing silly partisan political games. They are being, in other words, Obamacrats in all their putrid glory.

And your commentary is helpful how?
by FieldingBandolier

Offended Obama supporters - you think you're going to shame them into shutting up?

You're nothing more than a troll masquerading as a Clinton supporter. I hope that people here have the sense to refrain from feeding you.

I don't think I have seen anyone, Obama supporter or not, say that Clinton intended to threaten to kill Obama. Now who is being hysterical. The primary process is entirely different now than it was then anyway, making it a doubly stupid example.
Do you honestly think...
by FieldingBandolier

this person cares that much about what they're saying, or is interested in anything but making inflammatory statements and having some fun with the provoked outrage?

A little righteous indignation can be very entertaining, granted, but don't pretend that this person is anything but a troll.

Gatewood:

Oh, I get it. She was saying "I'm in this until they shoot me!"

Yeah, right....that's what she meant to communicate. How could I have missed it before now?

What do I care about the Democratic
by Gatewood

Party at this point? Its DNC leadership has signaled that it is essentially campaigning for Obama.

Once Hillary if finally forced from the campaign I will go independent as a moderate Centrist. I will not, in other words, be voting for Obama.

Hillary was the best candidate for repairing what Bush broke and, ironically, McCain is the second best moderate candidate available. The Democratic Party leadership and Obamacrats can collectively go to hell. You don't like it, don't read my top posts or replies.

What I don't like...
by FieldingBandolier

is someone coming on, pretending to be a Hillary supporter, and then behaving in a way that 1) undermines her campaign, 2) undermines her party, and 3) threatens the future of our country, by doing their part to increase the likelihood of a McCain presidency - something any rational Clinton supporter would be aghast at.

So basically, you're nothing more than a troll, and you're misrepresenting the position you ostensibly take.

People around here should have more sense than to take you at face value.

Re: What I don't like...
by StevieN

Is this more of the well-known-psychological-games-troll-like FieldingBandolier behavior?

Gatewood is definitely not "pretending" to be a Clinton supporter. Gatewood has posted TIRELESSLY and RELENTLESSLY (if hysterically and irrationally) on her behalf.

Stop trying to thwart the political speech of others, FB.

Hmmm . . . because you are
by Gatewood
either stupid, insane, or cynically trying to make Obamacrat points for partisan political reasons. Only you know which you are for certain . . . unless, of course, you ARE stupid or insane.
You really don't read your
by Gatewood

fellow Obamacrat's fray postings? Or you have hysterical blindness where their raw hatred of all things Hillary is concerned?

You are soooooooo amusing Jen13. Pathetic, yes, but also very amusing.

An apology to StevieN.
by Gatewood

I apologize for the preceding reply. I am so often having to swat at yapping ankle-biters on these boards that I sometimes swat at legitimate posters as well.

I have read enough of your posts to know that you are reasonably fair and hones where politics is concerned. I have nothing against Obama supports, simply dishonest Obama supporters. Unfortunately that seems to include most of the Obama supporters I encounter on these fray boards.

I know that Hillary is going to lose this nomination process, but I am not going to be idle while scum attack her just BECAUSE she is Hillary.

In any event, you are an honorable Obama supporter from what I have read.

Oh sorry - was I interfering with your fun?
by FieldingBandolier

Was I making it difficult for you to pretend there was a real person there behind that ugly mask?

Remember, wasn't it you who mentioned that not everyone is as they present themselves to be?

Know anything about viral campaigning?

Guess not.

Re: A straw apology to StevieN.
by artandsoul

Interesting - an apology from Gatewood.

You could have just deleted your post and that would have been that.

But this way you can keep the vitriol and diatribe on there and then "get credit" for apologizing.

Lovely.

Or maybe it was just a "slip." I know you've been posting on The Slate Fray since before it's inception (according to your own timelines) so I doubt you were unaware you could delete your own posts until they're answered.

Clever new twist, Gatewood. Also helpful to fight off FieldingBandolier's insightful assessment of your posing posture.

fun? Yes, the virus got me.....I've been smirnoffed

This early in the day?
by FieldingBandolier

Well then you're having a better day than I am.

[That was very funny - I hadn't seen it]

Nobody wants to hear about internet trolls and viral campaigning. It's like yelling, "Soylent Green is people!" Who wants to hear that? It doesn't matter how many times I link George Lakoff, or talk about framing, think tanks, and the nature of public discourse. It's like I'm talking to myself.

Ignorance is bliss, and that feeling of righteous indignation can be damn entertaining.

I just hope we elect a president on the basis of something other than competitive entertainment value.
