top 10 similarties between TX polygamists & gitmo terrorists
by baltimore aureole

10 - both subject to arrest, detention, and legal proceedings without adequate legal foundation

9 - both groups regard women as property, subservient to men

8 - the polygamy thing, of course

7 - fanatical belief that you just need to read one book (the "holy" one) then interpret it as a license to disobey secular law

6 - favor costumes more commonly seen in days gone by

5 - no readily apparent source for the funds which allow them to cause all this mischief

4 - hate the bush administration and the democrats equally

3 - considered pariahs by mainstream members of their own society

2 - each group would target and attempt to kill the other, if given the chance

1 - no girl in her right mind would willingly consent to marry into either clan

baltimore, #1 is clearly wrong, many women choose to remain in these groups often, its a matter of lifestyle (one I find disgusting, and one that is illegal) Remember for a woman that never lived with any other expectations would likely see nothing wrong with their lot in life.

Strangely - members of both groups describe themselves as fans of the music of Phi Collins at a much higher percentage than the general population at a whole does. He did have some hits though...

All the polygamists I've spoken to think Metillica hasn't made a good record since "Kill them all" - they love them some Phil though.
