Also, to posters who said that the mother should have hidden or locked her papers away: A bedroom is a private place. Dresser draws and nightstands are private places ( ask any thirteen year old).The mother has every right to expect privacy in her own bedroom, in her own house.

I feel that the only time anyone should go into my nightstand or dresser draws is with my permission , or, if I'm dead ( in order to donate my things to charity before my BFF can go thru them and take what she wants ( entitled beyotch). snerk **)
