My crocs shrunk!
by Little Ruthie

Everyone in my family has one pair of crocs. They are GREAT for cleaning the house. When I wash dishes, or scrub the floor, they are the first shoes I grab. I even find myself wearing them out for a quick errand... even though they are SO ugly.

My 3 year old and my 18 month old grab them first out of all their shoes. They prefer them most of all, and they seem perfect for our SoCal weather.

However.... My 18 month olds accidentally got into the dryer... Bye Bye Shoe... It shrunk about 2 sizes...

Thankfully, customer service was kind about it after a bit of prodding, and they are sending me a new pair. We wash a LOT of children's shoes around here, none of them have shrunk...

So, just be careful about high heat, and you're golden! I realize that they are a fad, but they do have a place in our shoe closet, and do fill a good nitch.

My FIRST pair of Crocs got contaminated by a chemical when I was wearing them to do some yard work. My feet got burned by the chemical so I took them off and washed the Crocs in the washing machine. I tried this process several times to get the chemical out of the plastic shoes and it was as if I wasn't doing anything to get it out. So I ended up throwing away that pair. It took me a long time to go out and buy another pair. But when Summer came, I wanted cool footwear to wear on hot nights around the house, so I did end up buying a second pair that I will NEVER use for doing yard work again. That first pair was VERY comfortable but this second pair is a little bit of a different style and the sharp edges cut into my feet if I don't wear socks with them. I wish they would still make that FIRST style! Yes, they were even uglier than the current style, but they were more comfortable and I prefer comfort over customs when my feet are the issue.

So YOU shrunk.the shoes, and you have the nerve to "prod" a new pair out of the company? There is a special place in Hell for "entitled" consumers like this. I bet I know how you change a light bulb.... you just stand there holding it, and the world revolves around you.

Customer service needed a 'bit of prodding' because it was YOUR fault the shoe wound up in the dryer... and YOUR fault the shoe was shrunk - not their's!

Why should the company be forced to pay for YOUR mistake?... Wait, le'me guess - because the shoes don't come with a clear warning against high heat?!?

PUH-leeze!... You need to learn to take responsibility for your own actions - even if those actions occur by accident!

I don't understand why you would hold CROCS responsible for your shoes accidently going into your dryer.

Exactly her fault. You must have a lot going on if you can't notice something solid like a shoe going in to a dryer!!!

Well, at least your Crocs got to the washing machine! I left mine on the back porch because I use them for gardening! They shrunk two sizes and became like hard plastic! I loved them before that. NOW they are completely useless. They're like little shrunken tupper-ware containers. They don't fit anyone in my family and even if they did they would be too uncomfortable to wear. We live is Tennessee and don't have unusually hot (or cold) weather. If I'd been warned that Crocs can't handle normal temperatures (at the price!) I would have definately brought them inside! I loved Crocs and even bought a pair for each of my family members (Mom, Dad, two Sisters, my husband...and so on). I can't believe there is no warning on the package that temperatures over 80 degrees will ruin them. I feel robbed!
