The shallow majority
by Telemachus
Mr. Noah! Do you think we are so hung up on looks that we wouldn't vote for the kindly, crazy old grandpa type just because he has "more scars than Frankenstein"'s monster? Do looks really matter that much in a political contest? Is a man not to be judged by the content of his character, but the colors of his skin? Can we, in the final analysis, be swayed more by smoothness than roughness, especially if that roughness is additionally wrinkled and spotted? Hell, Yeah! Unfortunately the people who will vote for McCain, the die hard Bushies, would vote for him if his nose fell off and a bunch of worms crawled out. The fact that his policies are a bucket of old Cheney turds doesn't turn them off, so I doubt they would mind seeing his pale potato head in giant high def. Too bad, because they, with the "I'm mad 'cause Hillary didn't win" crowd, may be enough to drag us down into even lower rings of Hell over the next four years.
