Obama
by Geraldine
I can not even consider voting for Obama. He has no experience and has not really said what he would do.I don't believe he will get enough electoral votes to win.As a lifelong Democrat this is the first time I will vote Republican.

Sure you're a lifelong democrat. Say hi to Rush for me.

Re: Obama
by aristonice

Geraldine Ferraro, I presume.

I was an Edwards supporter and thought the same thing too, initially. But then I started LISTENING to what the guy was saying. I educated myself by looking at his web site and reading up on his policy stances. I'd hate to think that a "lifelong Democrat" wouldn't at least try to educate herself about a Democratic nominee - especially when he shares most of the same positions as Clinton.

It's strange to think that a lifelong Democrat would be fine with four more years of the same, but you've clearly got your reasons.

Re: Obama
by Bullspotter

"Geraldine", you're probably a dude and a cross dresser as well.

By that I mean, a life long republican, dressing up as a "life long democrat" for this post.

However I applaud your approach since you obviously can't talk about current Republican ideas or solutions. These are virtually all bankrupt.

Face it Geraldine, "operation chaos" and "muslim/ Rev Wright Obama" is all the Repubs have left. As a "life long Democrat" who will reluctantly voting for McCain, you probably know that already.

Re: Obama

This long time Democratic Judge at the Polls will not vote for him either.

Obama is an inexperienced man, who is not qualified to be President in these bad times. We need a person who knows WDC and is able to negotiate and solve problems. Obama is not that person.

Grammar + Punctuation

Look into it.

It might make your post more comprehensible, but I doubt it.

excuse me i'm not perfact like you and i'm not an english major,i'm a 65 yr. old that trying to learn how to use the computer, but there you go attacting some one you don't even know.no i didn't get to even finish high school because i had to go to work and help pay bills after my dad got hurt so i have spent my life time trying to learn new and differnt things, i'v raised three wonderful childern one servied his country and my girls are very talented, all three have their on buiness's .what have you don't in your life that gives you the right to condem any one,no one put you in charge. and as for my vote , remember your cand. still needs our votes , my grammar and puncution may not suite you but it does me.at least i have common sense and i'm not easely swayed with whoop la ad readric ,you have a good day now .god be with you,you had a good time attacting me, rember that when you talk to you mom or your grandma.

Piggyhew.

Good response. It is for this very reason that many are doubtful about BO and his fanclub. A typical elitist retort. Let not these people forget that it is due to the efforts of many "uneducated" individuals that our society has the benefits enjoyed by all. To greatbeard, next time you drive by a work crew, be it on a highway, contruction site, etc.think about your attitude.,Respect the garbage collector, the farm labourer, the shift worker at some manufacturing plant, remember some of these "uneducated" make your life style possible. Besides 30-50 years of life experience is worth far more than any degree.

Re: Grammar + Punctuation

If expecting people to express themselves intelligently has become "elitist", then this country is doomed.

Excuse me for not wanting to slog through one huge run-on paragraph written by someone who doesn't even understand how to capitalize at the start of a sentence.

And being 65 isn't an excuse. The shift key on your computer's keyboard is in the same place as on your manual typewriter.

Re: Grammar + Punctuation

You can think what you wish,i hope all the hard working americans will look at this educated and high school grad. that have made this country and decide where you stand ,it seems that we are not wanted or needed in this election.i'm glade you got your education but i think you need a little more on how to respect others.

Re: Grammar + Punctuation

Granted piggyhew's syntax, punctuation and spelling are far from perfect. Even so she made a valid observation, one that I seem to be able to understand, poor grammer and all. Non of these criteria are any basis for judging intelligence. Although I was lucky enough to have had the opportunity to further my education many did/do not have that blessing. My grandfather passed on when my father was 14. He was forced to quit school to take over the family ranch. A piece of property that has grown quite large and successful thru his uneducated efforts. My mother immigrated to this country many years ago, complete with univ. degree and quite honestly she has struggled with the english language for many of those years. Maybe my veiw is a little slanted but I regard both of them as intelligent. My point- put either one of them on a computer and they may well come across as less so. Be politely admonished, do not judge others so quickly. Go ahead and refute the message, not the delivery. The steak is more important than the sizzle.

In regards to your comments, that I found to be appalling. Not every person in this Country had the opportunity to attend college or receive a higher education. Many were forced to go to work, in some cases having to forgo even a high school education. It is apparent to me that although you may have had a higher education respect was not something that you learned.

This originated by a comment that was made in regards to Senator Obama and his lack of Experience not pick on Seniors Day. So who comes across as unintelligent.

Re: Obama

Geraldine, you are not a true Democrat if you decide to vote for McBush.
Re: Obama
by BLACKMOSES
Are you an undercover bigot, piggyhew? What do you have against Black folks? You know damn well that Obama has stayed above the frat regarding racial politics. You're trying to make an excuse not to vote for the "colored guy".You must be one of those hardworking white people Hillary was talking about who just will not vote for Obama.
