This Just In! The next few Obama Gaffes
by flashedarling
+2/-1 Reply

After hearing about all these Obama "Gaffes" I've decided that I should throw in some predictions for the next few blunders the media will catch Obama on.

Obama one got sent to detention for littering in middle school

He once didn't chip in to get the secretary a birthday card

His feet have been seen to touch the ground as he walks through puddles

He has been known to eat an entire bag of Oreos in a single sitting

Sometimes hours after he has eaten... he poops

His mother was not a virgin when he was born

The more I learn about the good Senator, the more questions I have. I pray this is not going to be another one of those “I voted for before I voted against” moments.

Yesterday, Obama Said That Iran Did Not Pose A Serious Threat To The U.S.:

Obama: "I mean think about it. Iran, Cuba, Venezuela - these countries are tiny compared to the Soviet Union. They don't pose a serious threat to us the way the Soviet Union posed a threat to us. And yet we were willing to talk to the Soviet Union at the time when they were saying we're going to wipe you off the planet. And ultimately that direct engagement led to a series of measures that helped prevent nuclear war, and over time allowed the kind of opening that brought down the Berlin Wall. Now, that has to be the kind of approach that we take." (Sen. Barack Obama, Remarks At A Campaign Event, Pendelton, OR, 5/18/08)

FLASHBACK: Even Obama Previously Said That Iran Posed A Significant Threat To U.S. Security:

On CBS Evening News, Obama Listed Iran As The Country That Frightened Him Most And Said It Posed "A Significant Threat." CBS' Katie Couric: "What country frightens you the most, and what would you do about it as president?" Obama: "I think Iran poses a significant threat to stability in the Middle East. So I think we have to talk to Iran directly. And when we talk to Iran directly, even if there are profound disagreements there, that will send a signal to the world that we are not simply seeking to impose our will without paying attention to what other countries think. And that kind of dialogue has not taken place. This president has refused to do it. I think it's a profound mistake. JFK once said we should never negotiate out of fear, but we should never fear to negotiate." (CBS' "Evening News," 12/12/07)

Obama: "Iran's nuclear ambitions pose a serious threat to the United States, to our ally Israel and to international security." (Obama For America, "Statement Of Senator Barack Obama On Additional Sanctions On Iran," Press Release, 3/4/08)

Obama: "Everybody would acknowledge that Iran is stronger now than it was before this war started and that they have always been a significant threat -- in fact, a much more significant threat than Saddam Hussein was. They actually are developing weapons of mass destruction." (MSNBC's "Reaction To The State Of The Union Address," 1/23/07)

He sometimes wears mismatched socks.

Michelle sings a little off-key at church (Trinity UCC, of course) sometimes.

The Obama girls have been observed whining for a candy bar at the checkout line in the grocery store (where their parents are picking up some Arugula).

In addition to stinking at bowling, Barack can't play Bocce Ball to save his life (Hillary will claim to have her own ball; Carville will say that she has three).

Hey moron.

The Soviet Union had 10,000+ nuclear warheads... and the balistic launch capacity to hit anywhere in the U.S.

So they had the ability to erradicate all life from U.S. soil for the next 10,000 years.

Iran, on the other hand... has a piss-poor military and the ability to send in some brainless zealot wearing a jacket stuffed with C-4. They MIGHT have the ability - at their current pace - to make ONE nuclear warhead in 8 years. Iran's real threat - and the only one we actually fear - is their ability to turn off the valve to their own oil fields... which will hurt them badly and hurt us more.

Grow up, and gain some perspective. If you cannot comprehend the fact that Iran does not pose a serious threat to us the way the Soviet Union posed a threat to us. Then you are far too stupid to deservet the right to vote, and I'm surprised you can figure out the whole "breathing" thing.

This whole attack from the McCain team shows his extraordiary blindness and lack of perspective on the global arena. It shows more clearly than any other issue why he absolutely is not qualified to be president.

You're mindless regurgitation of the attack merely shows you to be a fool.

I'm not normally very caustic, but this whole farce of a "gotcha" campaign that McCain launched yesterday is so stupid that there really is no other response.

This just in Obama clearly a flip-flopper on his favorite fruit

Obama: I think that strawberries are easier to eat and are better on cake than pomegranates.

FLASHBACK

Obama: I do enjoy having a pomegrante sometimes, they are tasty.

Wow a little touchy I see. I guess we don’t like seeing, reading or hearing anything but hope and change from our guy. And, why so mad in the first place…I didn’t say it, Obama did.

No one is touchy, they are just having a good laugh at your expense redwhite&blue. That is how seriously your posts are taken.
Re: Hey moron.

Plus, what's up with "red, white, and blue"? Are you so unsure of your own patriotism that you have to wrap yourself in the flag? And why use terms like moron? Perhaps, you are calling out, Morón, the city in Argentina.
Re: Hey moron.
by redwhite&blue

Well entj4sure that is typical for the hard left Dems, always doing something at the expense of others. I suppose next you will want to tax me for my posts to help fund all the lazy/crazies who are waiting for the Obama handouts. And djg1220, learn to read, I never used the term moron, that was from your side of the house, perhaps my tax money is needed here?

Actually I really am pretty pissed.
by Tundrayeti

All the "gotcha" bullshit is stupid, that is it's nature. So I was dissappointed with the extreme stupidity of "bittergate"; and some of the other ones that didn't catch...

But this is just insulting. McCain wants to attack Iran so badly that he jumps on Obama for stating that Iran is not in the same caliber as the threat we faced with the Soviet Union in the cold war... and some republicans are still so fucking empty that they take the bait and start bandying it about... It's pathetic, and it does piss me off.

It's like playing in a chess tournament and playing a very difficult opponent for each of the first few rounds, then seeing the guy you face in the final open himself up for a fool's mate. It pisses you off because you EXPECT some level of intelligence from the opposition. The idea that REPUBLICANS are now trying to belittle the awesome threat of the Soviet Union and the amazing accomplishment of surviving and winning the cold war by trying to state that some petty pissant dictator and his third world rag-tag bunch of zealots are comparitive...

It's insulting to them, to such an extent that you get angry on THEIR behalf for that level of insult... that they exact on themselves for their insipid regurgitation of whatever the fools on the McCain staff choose to try.

It's like going to a debate and discovering your opponent is a poo-throwing monkey.

It really does piss me off.

contradictions, AGAIN. Beautiful, thanks, rwb. it's really amazing how out of touch with the voters 'common folk' mainstream voters these Obama-nauts actually are. People were bothered by the 'gaffes' BO has made -- for ex, "Bittergate" and they still ARE. But these rabid fans just don't get that. (Or worse, they don't care...)
The Obama-bots are not ...

real good at handling reality (when it is unpleasant to them or unflattering to His Hopeness) and/or even the most gentle form of criticism, rwb. Get used to it now, because it's going to get way worse after the August convention, imho.

I wouldn't describe myself as a rabid fan, I still haven't made up my mind who I'm voting for.

However, you are exactly right that a lot of people just don't care about the minor gaffes. Obama accidentally mentioned 57 states? Big deal. McCain said Shia when he meant Sunni? So what.

They're human. Sometimes they make minor speaking mistakes and sometimes they don't spend 10 minutes explaining the full nuances of every single statement. You're absolutely right, a lot of us care about policy issues but just plain don't care about this piddly nonsense.

rwb didn't use the term, the other person ...

did. How about paying attention before attacking someone?
Thanks, L.
