Part of the indication that DEMS should unify the party now
by obamademonominee
James Carville has been one of Hillary Clinton's most energetic defenders, but on Monday he all but declared Barack Obama will become the Democratic nominee for president.

Speaking to students at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, Carville argued Clinton should stay in through the final nominating contest in early June, but said the Democratic tide appears to be moving in Obama's direction.

"I still hear some dogs barking," Carville said, according to The State newspaper. "I'm for Senator Clinton, but I think the great likelihood is that Obama will be the nominee."

"As soon as I determine when that is, I'll send him a check," he added.

Asked about who might share a ticket with Obama, Carville floated Clinton's name, as well as that of Clinton ally Gen. Wesley Clark. Carville also mentioned Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius and New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg as possible running mates, according the Greenville News.

that Carville is married to a Republican and who knows what he hears at home.

Let it all play out to the end, the fatlady will sing, and we'll have pretty close to 90 days, three months to "unite" the Party....which, if you were around in 1968 or 1972...ain't all that ununited!

To bad if it eventually comes to an end. Sure has been entertaining watching all these peace loving, angry and hostile, liberals shooting off their vile comments back and forth.

If for no other reason Obama will take it as the liberals can’t afford to see their black base split and drop out. Wonder how the women are going to react once Hillary drops out?

Have a good posting day.

when the choice is 4 more years of McBush......not so bad, as food and gas prices rise, and the dollar continues to fall, and the economy continues to unravel..while McBush states: "I'm not really all that interested in the economy..." this will all be just a vague, pleasant memory..the good old days if you must.

But I'm not sure where the Zebra has demonstrated that he has the experience to reverse or change anything...........gives a good speech though.

Well, he will have the entire experience of the Democratic Party...Biden, Kennedy (if he survives), Dodd, Richardson, Edwards, Clinton(s), Gore, Kerry, Pelosi, Harkin, Boswell, etc behind him! Unlike the current occupier of the White House, who wouldn't ask anyone competent for advice if our lives depended on it...which it has! Oh, did I mentiona the majority of the electorate too? He is able to give a good speech, cause he can think and reason and communicate those thoughts and believes in a coherent fashion....no mean accomplishment! Do you really think Senator Clinton will stop fighting for the hardworking white folk if she isn't the nominee? Me neither, and I know Edwards, Gore and Biden will never stop! EVER!

take on the Clinton machine, and Clinton big money, be so organized and accomplished that Obama actually won the nomination, coming from nowhere......demonstrated his abililty and experience to reverse and change a hell of alot!! All this as a "zebra" with the name Barack Hussane Obama! No small accomplishment, or experience...AND to do it all without going bankrupt or having to borrow money!! Which is far Far FAR more then either McCain or Clinton were able to accomplish...we won't even talk about getting the next generation, and those who have not been "fired up and ready to go" EVER involved in the process! But, I guess that counts for not much does it??

Democratic Party...Biden, Kennedy (if he survives), Dodd, Richardson, Edwards, Clinton(s), Gore, Kerry, Pelosi, Harkin, Boswell.

Well to start with I can see several ultra liberal reasons that reinforce my skepticism about electing the 'Zebra', not to mention that you haven't put forth one reasonable accomplishment that he's made as an elected official that would give creditability to his assertion that he is a maverick for change or for uniting the American people, or that he has the basis to do so. Filling his organization with cash.....now that's something the American public can take to the bank, or from it. What effect has that had of their day to day lives?

I'll concede though, he does present a good stump 'something for everyone' political speech....good delivery.

Have a good posting day.

well, since he has raised most of his money from small...small contributors...I think he has well over 1 million contributors of less then $100 at a time....about 41% of the Quarter of a BILLION he has raised, is from small man/women grassroot folks, I'm better some of those are hardworking white folk too, I guess you'll have to ask the 1 million little guy contributors why they are contributing..won't ya?? I don't believe Obama has ever said he was a maverick...I think you are confusing him with McBush...and his lobbiest campaign friends and contributors...one of the five who left his campaign this week even represents the Butchers of Burma......he is bankrupt isn't he's like 10 million in the red...along with Ms. Clinton ( who is presently $20 million in the red)?? I think he is on his second campaign bankrupcy...and neither one of them can give a speech to save their lives! Oh the "liberal" borrow and spend....got that from the neocon Dubya Administration didn't they?? While, here is your favorite "zebra".....being fiscally responsible, and clever....bringing together, and involving far more grassroots folks and getting them to actually show up and vote, stand and be counted....YOU should be able to give such a speech....I think FDR spoke well, and Lincoln...united the ununitable (oh by the way, Lincoln had less legislative experience when he was sworn in then Obama....Lincoln had been in the House of Representatives for 2 years...and didn't win his re-election...all the elected, legislative exprience he had...it could give a good speech too.....!
Re: p.s. RIP......
by PatIowa
I believe Lincoln's rivals referred to him...as "that great ape". He put them in his cabinet...and won the Civil War, and protected the Union...THe UNITED States of America......Not bad for a "great ape".....I think the zebra from Illinois will do just fine!
Re: p.s. RIP......

Remember the ol' TV ad.......where's the beef? Haven't seen any yet....

Lincoln, FDR?

Re: p.s. RIP......

And I doubt you ever will....even if it were Lincoln or FDR.....the "great ignorant ape" and the "traitor to his class".....The blue hairs in Montgomery, when Dubya was fighting the Vietnam War in Alabama....used to refer to him as the Texas souffle.......looks real purdy....but full of nothing but hotair...that after 8 years as Governor and 8 years as Decider in CHief!
