As for politics, they're my own and have evolved over the years. I don't take a position because a party or ideology prefers it, rather that it is useful for describing observable reality and it works.

As for David Duke, I posted a piece a month ago from Atlantic where he indicated that McCain was the true enemy. It has been suggested that a vote for Obama is good because it will hasten the death of liberalism. Maybe Duke will endorse O'Bama?

Nobody likes a joke more than I do. That said, you have a tendency to cross the line and put forth real racist talking points. I won't condemn you just like I don't condemn the racist attitudes of many Muslims in the ME. It's a matter of education and understanding. Race is the elephant in the room and I know a lot of lifelong Democrats who won't vote for Barry because he is beige. Of course, being in Missouri, a lot of folks won't vote for him because his momma was from Kansas :)

Just remembering the '04 Dem convention and the big deal made about O'Bama being "black," not to mention John Kerry's comments on the subject and all the puff about how O'Bama was going to put a new face on America to the world, it's disingenuous to think that we can hide the elephant under the lampshade.

For me, the economy is the main issue and if O'Bama embraces St. Bill's strong Dollar regimen rather than Reagan's "deficits don't matter," I'll vote for him. If he doesn't, I might vote McCain so GOP gets the blame for Iraq and the recession, or I may vote third party, like I did when Reagan ran against Carter or Dukakis against Willie Horton. I am legitimately undecided and I am not alone.

No problem with that. I have no problem with people voting for a candidate based on who they feel can best forward the country. We aren't robots and one guy's trash is another guy's treasure. What I don't find amusing is blind racist hatred. Too much of that nonsense is spouted by too many people on this board and by too many people in America and by too many people in the world.
