Judaism & Homosexuality........

""JUDIASM The Torah (first five books of the Hebrew Bible)
is the primary source for Jewish views on homosexuality. It states
that: "[A man] shall not lie with another man as [he would] with a
woman, it is a toeva ("abomination")" (Leviticus 18:22). (Like many similar commandments, the stated punishment for willful violation is the death penalty, although in practice rabbinic Judaism rid itself of the death penalty for all practical purposes 2,000 years ago.)
Rabbinic Jewish tradition understands this verse to specifically prohibit a man from having anal sex with another man. Rabbinic works ban lesbian sex as well. What people today describe as psychological or biological
homosexual inclination is not discussed among classical rabbis. The
sources only discuss specific same-sex acts and not the modern concepts
of homosexual identities/relationships."" Wikipedia Seasoldier/Why did RABBINIC JEWS, some two thousand years ago take it upon themselves to do away with one of God's oldest laws? If you go back and read ALL OF THE HEBREW SCRIPTURES, you will soon come to learn that UNNATURAL ACTS God frowns upon usually with the penalty of death attached! Why then, would the very clergy who say they are God's chosen people take such BOLD STEPS and CHANGE God's LAW? Our nation is just such a nation, a nation similar to Sodom, and before our nation many other nations experienced God's wrath as explained above, especially the Jews.

""Conservative Judaism has engaged in an in-depth study of homosexuality since the 1990s with various rabbis presenting a wide array of responsa
(papers with legal arguments) for communal consideration. The official
position of the movement is to welcome homosexual Jews into their synagogues, and also campaign against any discrimination in civil law
and public society, but also to uphold a ban on homosexual sex as a
religious requirement. However, a recent split decision of the
movement's Committee on Jewish Law and Standards, in January 2007, has significantly reinterpreted the issue, and now allows gay men and lesbians to become rabbis or cantors.
Some form of commitment ceremony is now also viewed as legitimate.
Conservative rabbis who voted on this change used the issue of Kavod HaBriyot, honoring a person's dignity, as honor for someone's rights may override rabbinic restrictions. See Conservative Halakha for a full discussion."" Wikipedia Seasoldier/Again, we have the case of the STIFF-NECKED PEOPLES changing God's laws. ""Orthodox Judaism
views homosexuality as sinful. Many Orthodox Jews view homosexuality as
a choice; some sources claim it to be a deliberate deviance. The
majority view is to consider all homosexual activity as an abomination
(as per Leviticus
20:12-14). A trend of studying the issue of homosexuality has recently
begun to occur, with a view towards understanding and reaching out to
religious homosexual Jews. It is common practise amongst Orthodox Jews
to encourage young Jews known to be gay to marry (someone of the
opposite sex) in the hope that this will "cure" them. Many Rabbis and
community leaders have condemned this as potentially cruel to both
spouses.""Wikipedia Seasoldier/I agree with LEVITICUS 20:12-14, and don't need a NEW STUDY to know the difference! Sounds like religious leaders have acquired teachers to "...tickle their ears," meaning religious leaders are afraid to call a spade a spade!

""Progressive forms of Judaism, including Reform Judaism and Reconstructionist Judaism in North America and Liberal Judaism in the United Kingdom, view homosexuality to be acceptable on the same basis as heterosexuality.
Progressive Jewish authorities believe either that traditional laws
against homosexuality are no longer binding or that they are subject to
changes that reflect a new understanding of human sexuality. Some of
these authorities rely on modern biblical scholarship suggesting that
the prohibition in the Torah was intended to ban coercive or ritualized
homosexual sex, such as those practices ascribed to Egyptian and Canaanite fertility cults and temple prostitution."" Seasoldier/The Progressive Forms of Judaism seem to be the most radical--they believe, according to this quote, their ancient biblical laws once given to Moses no longer are valid! Well then, the other Mosaic laws, which our nation has also helped expand on, are no longer valid either! Take MURDER for instance? What silly thinking these modern Jews have. Is it time to do away with the COURT SYSTEM?

Well Then, What About Islam Religions?

""Islamic views on homosexuality are as varied as those of most other major religions and have changed throughout history. Traditionally, Qur'anic verses and hadith have been seen as condemning sexual acts between members of the same sex. The Qur'an cites the story of "people of Lot" (also known as the Sodomites)
who were destroyed because they engaged in homosexual acts. The legal
punishment for sodomy has varied among juristic schools: some prescribe
capital punishment; while other prescribe a milder discretionary punishment. Homosexuality is a crime and forbidden in most Islamic countries, Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc. In some relatively secular or multi-religious Islamic countries, this is not the case, Algeria, Malaysia, Indonesia and Turkey
being examples..."" Wikipedia Seasoldier/Well now, here we have another crazy religion using the same example, SODOM and GOMORRAH! This religion tends to continue along the thinking of the ONE GOD and condemn, to a stricter degree, the punishments for acts of homosexuality! Hummmmmm.

""Some liberal Muslims, such as the members of the Al-Fatiha Foundation,
accept and consider homosexuality as natural, either regarding these
verses as obsolete in the context of modern society, or pointing out
that the Qu'ran speaks out against homosexual lust, and is silent on
homosexual love. Writer Irshad Manji,
a lesbian, has expressed the view that homosexuality is permissible
within Islam; however, this remains a minority viewpoint. Within Shi'a Islam, thinkers such as Ayatollah Khomeini have argued for the legality of sex-change operations if a man is homosexual, and feels effeminate."" ""Asian societies shaped by Buddhist traditions
takes a strong ethical stand in human affairs and sexual behavior in
particular. However, unlike most other world religions, most variations
of Buddhism do not go into details what is right and what is wrong in
what it regards as mundane activities of life. Details of accepted or unaccepted human sexual conduct is not specifically mentioned in any of the religious scriptures in Pali language. The most common formulation of Buddhist ethics are the Five Precepts and the Eightfold Path,
one should neither be attached to nor crave sensual pleasure. These
precepts take the form of voluntary, personal undertakings, not divine
mandate or instruction. The third of the Five Precepts is "To refrain
from committing sexual misconduct.[1].
However, the "sexual misconduct" is such a broad term, and is subjected
to interpretation relative to the social norms of the followers. In
fact, Buddhism in its fundamental form, does not define what is right
and what is wrong in absolute terms for lay followers. Therefore the interpretation of whether homosexuality is acceptable for a layperson or not, is not a religious matter as far as fundamental Buddhism is concerned."" Seasoldier/What is SEXUAL MISCONDUCT?

""The Unification Church views heterosexual marriage as God's ideal.[1][2] According to Rev. Sun Myung Moon, people are to grow to maturity, becoming "fruitful" (Gen. 1:28), then join in holy matrimony with a member of the opposite sex and "multiply", i.e. have children.
The church regards any sexual contact between people other than that between husband and wife as sinful,[3] a view at odds with much of the Western world since the sexual revolution of the 1960s. The church opposes pre-marital sex, as well as adultery and homosexuality; it categorically rejects same-sex marriage
as an abomination. It asserts that both the avoidance of homosexual
acts and the repentance of homosexual desire are possible and desirable
(see reparative therapy).[citation needed]
Followers of the Unification faith are strongly discouraged from
indulging in sex before marriage, but highly encouraged to enjoy its
fruits once maturity is reached and union with an eternal spouse
achieved.""Wikipedia Seasoldier/Good, follow God's law--I like that!

""The Confucian moral code
emphasizes each person's responsibility to society. Confucians are
expected to get married and have children; this is their responsibility
to their ancestors and their country. A male's duty is to have male
children to pass on his family name; a female's duty is to bear her
husband male children to carry on his family name. Homosexuality cannot
result in reproduction and this is the main reason why Confucians tend
to disapprove of it. Confucianism stresses an individuals' loyalty to
their family and their country. If a one's parents forbade one from
engaging in homosexuality, or if the state outlawed homosexuality (as
was the case in China between 1740 and 1997), one would be expected to comply with these orders."" Wikipedia Seasoldier/Once upon a time it was like this here in what came to me the UNITED STATES.

The THIRD Gender Of Hiduism...
by Seasoldier
05/18/2008, 12:48 AM #
""Any discussion of homosexuality and Hinduism would not be complete
without mentioning the Hindu concept of a third sex or third gender (tritiya-prakriti
- literally, "third nature"). This category, unique among the world's
major religions, refers to a wide range of people with mixed male and
female natures such as transgenders, homosexuals, transsexuals,
bisexuals, the intersexed, and so on.[9]
Such persons were not considered fully male or female in traditional
Hinduism, being a combination of both. They are mentioned as third sex
by nature (birth)[10]
and were not expected to behave like ordinary men and women. They often
kept their own societies or town quarters, performed specific
occupations (such as masseurs, hairdressers, flower-sellers, domestic
servants, etc.) and were generally attributed a semi-divine status.
Their participation in religious ceremonies, especially as
crossdressing dancers and devotees of certain temple gods/goddesses, is
considered inauspicious in traditional Hinduism. Some Hindus believe
that third-sex people have special powers allowing them to bless or
curse others. However, these beliefs are not upheld in all divisions of
Hinduism. In Hinduism, the universal creation is honored as unlimitedly
diverse and the recognition of a third sex is simply one more aspect of
this understanding.[11]
Early European Indologists of the nineteenth century typically referred to the Hindu third sex simply as "eunuchs" or "neuters;"[citation needed] however many consider homosexuals and other similar types of men and women to be included in the Hindu third sex."" Wikipedia Seasoldier/In this so-called religion you can see how perverted it has become to where it now has a 3rd Gender! Imagine, and we are supporting these people with jobs!

Christians?
by Seasoldier
05/18/2008, 12:56 AM #
""Christian
leaders have written about sex between men since the first decades of
Christianity; sex between women has been discussed less prominently[1]. Throughout the majority of Christian history most theologians and Christian denominations have viewed homosexual behavior as immoral or sinful, and most interpretations of the Bible
condemn certain sexual acts performed between men. However, in the past
century some theologians and Christian religious groups have espoused a
wide variety of beliefs and practices towards homosexuality, including
the establishment of some 'open and accepting' congregations that
actively support and approve of those in same sex relationships.
Historically, most Christian churches have regarded homosexual acts as sinful. This position is today held by the Roman Catholic and Orthodox Churches, and Evangelical Protestant churches such as the Southern Baptist Convention.
A number of denominations, however, have taken the position that
homosexual behavior is not inherently sinful. These include the United Church of Canada, liberal congregations within the United Church of Christ, the Episcopal Church in the United States of America, the Moravian Church, the Anglican Church of Canada, the Methodist Church of Great Britain, and Friends General Conference. A new denomination, the Metropolitan Community Church, has also come into existence specifically to serve the Christian GLBT community.
Other Christian denominations are actively debating the issue and
have not reached a consensus either way; some of the most significant
of these include the Presbyterian Church USA, the United Methodist Church, and the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
The Episcopal Church in the USA became the first major Christian denomination to ordain an openly gay bishop, Gene Robinson, which is controversial in the world wide Anglican Communion."" Seasoldier/While living the life of a homosexual condemns that person to certain death God gives evidence in scriptures that these tendencies must be turned about in order to meet his requirements. Churches who recognize, but do not condone this act, would be wise to seek the face of God for His answers and not listen to wishy-washy man.
