Your statement proves you do not know a damn thing about the founding of this country, the Constitutional seperation of Church and State or the fact that in the USA all men are created equal.

CA will have a vote and the voters can outlaw same sex marriage if they wish.

One of the foundations of this country is federalism, which means that different states are going to behave differently from one another, in accordance with the wishes of the locals. If Californians want same-sex marriage, it's their prerogative (my problem with the ruling is that it apparently goes against the public's wishes on rather dubious grounds).

And as for Muslims hating us for this, big deal. The day "ooh, the Muslims won't like that" becomes the rationale for our doing or not doing something is the day we cease to be a free society.

And besides, why wouldn't they like what happened? A small group in black robes imposed a decision that a majority of the society isn't thrilled about on the dubious basis that their interpretation of the supreme text is better than anyone else's. The outcome may not be the same but, functionally speaking, how is that different from what happens in Iran?

Simply because they are horrible human beings, that's why they hate so much, even their own children , killing their daughters just for talking to american soldiers ( i read an article about this) I really thought it was a matter of time someone as horrible as them defended their ways.
