I believe there are many reasons people have against same sex marriage, I don't know them all or share them all, but for myself the reason I oppose same sex marriage is because of what I saw in Key West Fl in the early 80s when a group of rich new yorkers decided to buy Key West and turn it into a gay community. It was Hemmingway men before these guys came. The gay men did not want to hire women..they wouldn't hire women..you had fag hags or fruit flies who came in and hung around for kicks but for the most part the majority of gay men were misoginists, The gay men could give a rats ass about their gay sisters...these women really had it rough..and these guys ran their houses as if they were married..so you would have a couple that had a hell of allot of money...and then you would see two women, both poor, with kids..I saw Gay men with all the advantages. So I see this marriage thing as where children are going to suffer the most...we don't have equality for women still...so I just see this as men getting stronger...and to be honest...I see many gay men as predetors of other men. And finally..I frankly don't care if one is gay, I don't want to care.

If you want a legal, constitutional answer, then I would suggest seeking out legal and constitutional scholars and getting them to explain why they are for or against "gay marriage". If you are looking for opinions on gay sex and homosexuality, which it seems you are implying here, then accept people's answers they give here.

Many people's religious and cultural beliefs do not recognize homosexuality as anything other than a lifestyle or deviant behavior.

Also, people have seen and experienced the effects in different areas of what radical agendas have done to the population. There have been books and studies on the AIDS problems and other such things relating to gay men purposefully giving or getting AIDS back in the 1970's and also donating tainted blood knowlingly. Does anyone think that all gay men do this? Hardly. But this is one of many reasons this is a hot button issue.

My opinion is I am for civil unions. I do not care what people do privately in their homes sexually UNLESS it includes children, animals, etc. Then we do have a problem.

AIDS..I listened to a nurse who worked for a AIDS doctor about what made her so angry about her job was that married men who had gay lovers would get AIDS and they wouldn't tell their wives, who wound up with AIDS full blown, had no clue where she got it until it was too late. The nurse said because of Dr patient privacy rights, she could not call the woman and say..."Go to a Dr and get tested for AIDS". And she felt like she was part of a conspiracy to kill women...

I agree with the civil unions, which makes us both agree wth the California Supreme Court. Leave the word "marriage" out of ALL unions, homosexual or heterosexual, as a legal term.
