How Bad is It?
by MaryAnne

According to the news,so bad that people are buying cheap beer, instead of the better brands.

Now,that is bad!

Not necessarily. It's a good reason to try undervalued lower priced, but tasty beers and wine. Viva Rolling Rock beer and many under- $12 Chilean wines!

I thought Rolling Rock was expensive, but what do I know about the price of beer ?

I do know about, "Rednecks And White Socks and Blue RIBBON BEER!"

After drinking champagne on beer salaries and budgets, a beleagured Joe6Pak realizes he must cut back to drinking Bud. Maybe it's about time Joe stopped drinking and switched to tea like 90% of the rest of the world?

I'm no connoseiur. I can't tell a cheap table wine from a $500 Bordeaux. I can't tell cheap gas station coffee from the finest java in the world. A great meal is wasted on me. But beer is a different story. I gag on Bud. Good beer is the only luxury consumable I'll shell out extra money for.

Totally agree about Bud--oddly the beer of Mexican immigrants, who have left their much superior Carta Blanca and Dos Equis behind once they crossed the Rio Grande. Bud is indeed frozen gnat's piss.

All the more reason to give up alcohol if all you can afford is Budweiser.

Perhaps that is the theme behind "This Bud's for YOU!" Yes, You Not Me.

I buy what I like, which is Leinenkugel's Red. And the dark, dark ale from City Brewery in La Crosse.
