Depending on the type of flotation material, some life preservers will slowly become waterlogged after prolonged periods in the water. That's a perfect metaphor for Hillary Clinton's situation. The longer she stays treading water with her campaign, the worse the final outcome may be for her.

Because she is still holding on to the ship with every last bit of energy she can find, ahem, even some she's lost already.

Not sure if this works in all browsers or on all systems, but in Firefox I can right click on the graphic and pick "play" and watch the whole incredibly gory thing.
