Good article - I found this the most distressing:

"The three leading candidates for their party's nomination are being discussed in terms of their demographics -- race, sex and age -- as if that is what the job is about."

How true! But it is most unfortunate that for one candidate demographics has helped while with the other two it has hurt. It would be nice if we could focus on the issues to give them ALL a level playing field.

While focusing on the issues would make for a level playing field, it would also highlight the deficiencies of at least one of the candidates..........and since that is the candidate that benefits most from the demographics now being used....... it's not likely that real substance will be forthcoming.
