I don't know if the husbandry of throughbred horses counts as "nature" anymore, but the winner of this year's Kentucky Derby,
Big Brown
, was the product of the union of first cousins, once removed.

Actually, that should be "second cousins," not "first cousins once removed." Those horses were only as closely related as Prince Charles's parents.
