As someone else has said, props to the author for striking a fairly reasonable and respectful tone, here.

But that doesn't change the fact that he relies on the same old gay marriage bogeymen: polygamy, paedophilia, incest, etc.

We've had gay marriage here in Ontario for going on five years now, and thus far there has been no slippery slope. Six year old girls have not been married off to their fathers. Harems have not been set up in the suburbs of Toronto. No unwilling priests have been dragged screaming to the alter and forced to marry gay couples in the Catholic Church.

And last time I looked outside, fire and brimstone had yet to rain down upon us...
