It's getting more obvious everyday that the REPS are headed for a debacle in Congress next fall.

It's also apparent that John McCain has MAJOR credibility problems in his own party.

Now a Libertarian candidate has also emerged to siphon off the Refusenik vote of former GOP voters.

Fundraising for the GOP is at a record slow pace.

And the base is completely demoralized.

In short..........the REPS are headed for the Perfect Storm of defeats this fall.

It gives me no pleasure to report this............but it's true.

And even the most simple minded partisan hack can now see which way the wind is blowing.

The rest of this commentary is aimed at conservatives..........liberal­s please go to the sidelines.

Pavlovian knee jerk spleen ventings on Iraq are not our purpose here now.

So conservatives.............how is it that we ended up on the Titanic? Why is the base demoralized?

People become demoralized when subconsciously they feel they have allowed something unethical to happen.

So what is it?

Conservatives........you know what it is.

The Border Issue.

For 8 years you have allowed Bush/McCain to SABOTAGE meaningful immigration control/border enforcement policies.

Not only did they not help the cause.......they deliberately undermined it in an active manner.

Every Bush supporter who wants to defend Bush....when I challenge them with his dereliction on this issue... goes silent.

There is no defense............none.

And conservatives know this.

And McCain is continuing this legacy in his current campaign.

He has pandered to La Raza....and just yesterday said he will provide amnesty to illegals already here..........just yesterday.

I understand the need many conservatives feel to stay united against the swarming Bolshevik hordes(DEMS).

But truth and national sovereignty DEMAND a reckoning.

And until you conservatives stand up............ and disavow your traitorous president and his latest incarnation..........

You will have no psychological peace of mind...............because one word of truth outweighs the world.

Nationalism rooted in Constitutional principles is the future home of the conservative.

You can deny it............but you will wear the Monarchist yoke all the way to the bottom.

P.S. DEMS with a 70 seat edge in Congress...and Obama in the White House...............will be .....an American Bolshevik Revolution.

At the moment there is a stealth amnesty bill, as a rider to funding legislation wending its way through congress. The author is Nancy Pelosi-D Calif. who never met a voter fraud method she didn't like.

I agree... and I look at it this way

The pendulum has to swing far left before it can right itself (towards the center) again... Regardless of my posts about "Yobama", I do not think a President Obama will screw us up any worse than Bush did but he will provide a wake-up call to those who forgot what we stand for. Obama deserves as much of a chance as our guy had. Perhaps he will do much better.

We have to admit, the GOP had a majority in congress, had the Executive Branch and UTTERLY blew it... (Bush became a Liberal and Congress became a haven for cronyism, corruption and incompetence). Congress and Bush spent far too much time trying to placate the opposition rather than move policy based on a conservative common-sense agenda.

There is no excuse for them and I'm not willing to defend any of it. If I have my way, the GOP will suffer a resounding defeat this fall and learn a very hard lesson. "Don't discard the people who got you there in favor of those that didn't"

I am not as clinically concerned as you are. But a good house cleaning will only help - remember each time the dems have taken majorities it has led to gigantic swells in Republican voters, and then election victories.

It's happened before and we can wait for it to happen again.

If Obama is the President we may soon see a brutal display of economic clumsiness and ill-advised moves that will plague our well-being. Tax rate increases, reduced capital collected, and teamed with spending increases, we will see a backlash in that area.

National security? Who knows what would limit the amount of political fallout the Dems will catch in that area. Depends on what they do with immigration, interrogation, Iraq, Patriot Act etc.

Social policy? Will take longer to see the results of this, but once the blood is in the water, Obama will have to be very careful as to what he tries to impress on Americans.

Could be the best thing for the next inevitable rise of conservatism.

The country is transforming before our eyes..............traditional American has been weakened for 40 years.........and the coup de grace is coming.

Obama is the most anti-American departure from traditional America to ever run.

And the gigantic majorities in Congress will bow to his agenda.

Bush is the Tsar..............Obama is Lenin........and Congress will be the Bolshevik party.

That's the relevant historical analogy here.

Well Cid... we have seen the coming "Balkanization" of USA even when Reagan allowed the first illegals a free pass into our country and further defined with the "it takes a village" crowd... I do agree, Obama will not be a "uniter" and if/when he is comfortably seated in position, his past associations will make their policy and influence felt creating a larger backlash which will be too late to stop...

As to our nation, if you look at massive street protests (over practically anything) in other 3rd world countries you can be assured, you will see in them as a common occurence our not so distant future...

We are as a nation slowly being watered down to our lowest common denominator, then further segmented into villages of isolated ethnic, religious, and philosophical arenas due to clustered ideological comfort seeking... Divided we fall

But it cannot be achieved by continuing to give in to DEMS.

The importation of Third World values through multiculturalism is the virus that kills America.

It's very ironic that Bush's big speech on appeasement is getting all this attention.............because towards Mexico and Latin America...........he has been the biggest appeaser in US history.
