How Bush Defines Obama and Himself
by MikeSar
Recently Pres. Bush said in the Israel Parliament: “Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along,” he said, without referring to Obama by name. “We have heard this foolish delusion before.” And then, the president dropped the bombshell – making the comparison to the appeasement of Hitler and the Nazis."

At first look, this seems clever, paint Obama an enemy of Israel and the more he denies it, the more people will know what the Pres. said. This seemed OK until I heard (sorry, don't remember his name) someone say that Bush was trying to bring the Jewish vote to the Republican Party. Now, this seemed to be, even, Brilliant!

Until I remembered a few Jewish-Americans I met in USAF and remembered they were all ahead of the class (Eng. Grad. School) yes, I know, this is not Politically Correct. My point is that Pres. Bush may have gone too far into thinking a few of his words would change the long historical contributions to the Democratic Party and to the Civil Rights Struggle (some Jewish-American young men were killed) that will outlast whatever words anyone, including me, would say.

Perhaps our President thought that the promise of money or 100 F-35 supersonic fighters would bring peace in the Middle East. That our President would not talk to enemies, only to friends ignores the courage of Pres. Nixon and Reagan.

Pres. Bush only wants to talk to our faithful allies, like England. What for? To make Peace with them? That is what I call Chutzpah based in ignorance.

and Obama's membership in a fascist Wright's group, his willingness to appease moslem fascists makes them very hesistant to vote for them. So, don't think that Jews can't change their point of view. As you said, Jews ain't stupid.

Before he retired Rev. Wright's "group" was called a church. The Trinity United Church of Christ to be specific.

The word "appeasement" has a meaning. <link> Talking to our adversaries is not appeasement.

Obama 08!

Bush was ONLY appeasing/pandering Israel when he spoke in Israel parliament :) US foreign policy is run by AIPAC/Israel.

No politician can succeed in US without kissing up to AIPAC/Israel. Is that appeasing/pandering?

Can you define appeasement/pandering?

Bush's reference to Neville Chamberlain's appeasement of the Nazis is a deliberate fear mongering attempt and it works only if people are not aware of the meaning of appeasement, the situation surrounding Chamberlain's decision to appease Hitler in '38-'39 and Obama's plan to have dialogue with enemies and friends. I watched Christ Matthews interview Kevin James, a conservative radio talkshow host, who was expressing support for what Bush had said and the reference that he had made, and it revealed much. When pressed as to what exactly appeasement was and what was wrong about Chamberlain's actions in '38-'39, he couldn't answer, James didn't even know exactly what Chamberlain had done, but there he was supporting Bush's use of the reference. He gets airtime. It's people like that who spread the fear that Bush is conjuring, and their listeners are none-the-wiser. The blind leading the blind really. Then that fear and ignorance is what they would use to perpetuate 8 more years of Bushry.

Allow me to speak for the Jews for a moment. We are not stupid. (To be sure, some of us are, but some are not). When we hear a specious and historically tenuous comparison by some idiot (President Bush) of Obama to Hitler, we don't all go oh my goodness, that Obama's another Hitler. I'd better vote for someone else. Just like in any group, there are some dumb ones who are persuaded by such simple and stupid stuff. But Bush's nonsense is not winning the republicans the Jewish vote based on the idea that we will lockstep be scared that Obama is like Hitler.

Sincerely,

A Jew supporting Obama, nutty pastor, funny name and all.
