Mary Anne --
When folks tell you to get your facts right, they are not being mean -- they are being fair. First, we select nominees based on delegates, not on popular vote. To do otherwise would be unfair to caucus states, which, after all, follow the rules (caucuses are an allowed way to select delegates). Obama has an insurmountable lead in the real race -- the delegate race.
Second, even if we look to "popular vote" (or if superdelegates do), Obama is still winning. Without Michigan and Florida, his lead is 1.8 Million (source Real Clear Politics). With Florida, his lead is 800,000 (same source). Because the Michigan election was so messed up, Real Clear Politics does not have a number that includes MI, but according to MSNBC, HRC received 328,151 votes in Michigan -- so even not counting the 237,762 people in Michigan who turned out to vote AGAINST HRC (as there was no one credible to vote for), Obama still leads by over 450,000 votes.
How exactly is this race not over?
I am beginning to use "Hillaryland" as a timely substitute for "LaLaland" -- and people get it, they really, really get it.
