Edwards won 26 delegates, not 19
by Jason M. Bryant

I've seen several news articles today that say Edwards won 19 delegates before he dropped out of the race. This is inaccurate. He won 26. Then after he dropped out 7 of those were awarded to Obama when the Iowa caucus went into its second round of voting. He probably would have kept most or all of them if he hadn't dropped out.

So while it is true that his total before the endorsement was 19, he did win more than that.

The cute thing about all this is

how Obamacrats are confusing pledge delegates with slavery.

You know they can change their minds, right? Oh, well sure you know that. It's why Obamacrats are terrified of allowing the entire Party to enjoy its franchise. They know, despite all their chest pounding and whistling in the dark, that she really can win this nomination on the convention floor; particularly since Puerto Rico is expected to vote as heavily for her as West Virginia did.

Sorry Obamacrats, but in 2008,slavery is not a viable option. Even pledge delegates have the inalienable right to change their vote preferences.

Whoa! Where did that come from? Barack Obama supporters are now pro-slavery?

Take a couple of sheets of aluminum foil and fashion a hat out of them. Put the hat on your head. There. Feel better now?

Sorry Gatewood, but I have no idea what you're talking about. Yes, the pledged delegates can change their mind, but it's incredibly rare for that to happen. It's only happened once so far in this election, and that a Clinton delegate who changed to Obama. So I'm not sure why you're bring that up.

Also, I'm not an Obama supporter. I was just pointing out some misreporting of Edwards' victories.

"So I'm not sure why you're bring that up."

Allow me to explain, if I may. Gatewood never misses an opportunity to gratuitously insult Barack Obama supporters. If the opportunity doesn't actually arise, then Gatewood is undeterred and spits out an insult anyway. FYI
