Why don't Repubs just beat Obama on the issues?
by Reptilicus

instead of "His minister hates America"...."He's an elitist Marxist"?

Why not beat him on Iraq?....oops wait....70% of the country wants us out and McCain is promising to stay "until victory" (or he dies of old age)

Okay why not on the economy?.....oops wait...nobody buying how "it's just a little flat...not Bush's fault, but Obama would make it worse"

Why not abortion?....oh right, South Dakota tried that and it blew up in the GOP's face.

Hey, how about how great a job Bush did on taking care of our vets, like at Walter Reeeeee...hmmm?

Okay, never mind...continue with the "Commie Negro" stuff.

Because the campaign hasn't started yet....
by ZealotforTruth

I would think that McCain is more than willing to let Hillary do the 'dirty work,' and drain money out of the Democrat Coffers.....

The Issues will be front and center (WE HOPE), once the debates start in earnest....

Sure, now just get Obama to actually articulate those issues.

Oh - your just happy to hear speeches about "hoping to change" and that "change" will bring the "hope" that we need

Obama has 2 million + more donors to replace the cash, look...Americans don't like conservatives...they should stab themselves in the arse as quickly as possible.

Thx

They wish they could

Trouble is, they've spent the last 12 years (6 with control of Congress and the White House) screwing the pooch in every conceivable (and some inconceivable) way. And they're fresh out of issues they could win on.

Besides, American politics has ALWAYS been about scandal, not substance. ANd it's more that way than ever with each passing election.

Look for this to be a doozy...

Actually
by Horus

...if you were capable of the truth or even cursory research on the web, you'd know that he's articulated numerous positions.

<link>

But you don't care about that, do you? It's not what you're here for. You're here to spread bile, just like you always do.

Yawwwnnnnn

isn't that fact that he is a marxist-socialists
by yatahey

who was mentored by a racist, radical, has absolutely no experience in running an economy, a government, the military, nor an administration, would appoint radical leftists to the bench, and his advisors and associates are all fellow travelers with little or no experience in running an economy, government, military nor administration either the issue?

YTH

it seems pretty clear it is.

LOL

A front-runner for most unintentionally funny Fraycon post of the day. Lots of competition, as always, but it might get my vote.

It seems pretty clear you're insane, or stupid, or else a real comedian...:)

please try to stay on subject
by yatahey

I know, in order to get your 200+ posts a day in, even with your unemployed status, you have to resort to viceral ad hominems, but we that can only post during breaks, have limited time, so we have to stay with the subject on hand.

YTH

it would help a lot.

They don't like liberals either.....lol

Fish in the proverbial barrel....

You want focus on the "issues", instead of "His minister hates America"...."He's an elitist Marxist"?----which, I take it, you consider non-issues.

Why not beat him on Iraq?....oops wait....70% of the country wants us out and McCain is promising to stay "until victory" (or he dies of old age) An issue, eh? Well, Reptilicus, do you think it's possible that the influence of an America-hating mentor and advisor might color Obama's foreign policy perspective, in Iraq and elsewhere? Just asking.

Okay why not on the economy?.....oops wait...nobody buying how "it's just a little flat...not Bush's fault, but Obama would make it worse" Big issue---everyone knows "it's the economy, stupid". Concentrate now, Reptilicus---are you aware of any possible connection in real space and time between Marxists tenets and.....the American and world economies?

Re: Fish in the proverbial barrel....

"Iraq?...no....Economy?...no.....Budget?...no...Gas prices?....no.....I got it....

"COMMIE NEGRO!!!"

They really did blow it.........

They had the perfect opportunity and went and let the neo cons push out the paleo cons who got them to the top in the first place, just crazy.......

Is "hope" an issue?

As for Iraq, not sure Obama wants to take his Bush/McCain Iraq as Hong Kong of the ME vision to the voters and explain why sixteen more months of making the same mistakes is good. Biden's partition plan is the only one that makes sense and Obama, having voted funding for the Blunder, lacks clean hands.

As for the economy, not sure Obama wants to go there, either, with his plans for tax credits, tax deferments, keeping some of Bush's tax deferments, and more spending. Ronald Reagan won and Obama will keep the Free Lunch and high commodity prices.

As for abortion, it's fairly much a non-issue any more. The Democrats have lost enough elections on it and Democratic women may just need to learn to use birth control. I don't see much change on it and the Democratic supermajority in the senate will be able to force a moderate SC candidate on McCain, just as they did on Ford.

As for vets, that's the last place the able-bodied slacker wants to go while campaigning for CiC. Best just to ignore that one. If nothing else, people might want to know why he and Pelosi and Reid dropped the ball on this one.

In short, Obama should keep a respectFul distance from the issues and just concentrate on marginalizing the majority of American voters while pandering to the rest.
