Hillary WILL run as an INDEPENDENT!

Let's think this through Fraysters!

The prevailing consensus is........that Hillary continues to run because she is setting herself up to be the nominee in 2012 when the Messiah loses to McCain.

Seems to be a plausible calculation.

BUT........there's been a new development.

One that REPS are not too excited about.

Bob Barr.

Now Barr will only get the Refusenik vote that will not fall in for Senor Juan..........averaging now 25%.

And that sinks Senor Juan's Reconquista.

Which means that Hillary's 2012 strategy is also sunk because the Messiah will come in NOV 2008.

WHICH means that the nominee in 2012 is O regardless of how lousy his first four years are.

And Hillary would have to hold her bladder until 2016?

That ain't gonna happen.

Now Bill is very bitter about the treatment he has received from the black community and the DEM bigwigs who have turned on him and Hil.

So the loyalty factor has departed the Clinton consciousness.

SO...........for Hillary.............the future is NOW.

You're a little slow.

I had this thought a while back. Although it was said tongue-in-cheek, I actually wouldn't be surprised.

And the U.S. Department of Punctuation Regulation has asked me to tell you that your gratuitous use of exclamation points is draining the national supply to levels that threaten homeland linguistic security.

Who's going to pay for it?
by ChicagoEngineer

Certianly not her current donor base. She might qualify for public financing after the fact, but I'm thinking that even if she were willing to abandon the Democratic party and try it, she and Bill aren't risking their personal fortune and political legacy on it. Perot was (and is) a billionaire and could afford to finance his own campaign, not so for the Clintons. Not to mention she'd have to crawl back to the Democrats in a couple years if she wanted her senate seat back.

Bet on her being the next majority leader. She's earned a leadership position in the party, and they'll give her one. Thats the deal they'll strike.

CE.....those are good points...and that scenario seems very plausible.

But if she's ever going to be prez..............it's now or never.

Well, it's a good idea, in my opinion. The Democrat Party split along the whacko line, Moderate Whackos (Clinton supporters) and Super Whackos (Obama-nuts).

I like it.

Frankly, that would be absolutely stupendous for all of those who prefer her over Obama and don't want Mccain.

Who knows which rich billionair would be willing to fund her efforts?

If Obama IS given the Nominee status by the DNC, and Michigan and Florida are NOT resolved on 5/31/2008, but the Superdelegates rush to Obama's SD count BEFORE the 5/31/2008 so that the 2025 Delegate limits are reached before the 5/31/2008...I would expect that then all of a sudden the DNC would proclaim Obama the Nominee.

This would preclude any attempts by Clinton to try to persuade the SD to change their mind, no matter what is found out about obama.

Then...although on 5/31/2008 the DNC Rules Committee does find a reason to seat the delegates but not in the full count that Clinton wants them to belong to her based on their primary votes {since by 5/31/2008 Obama would have reached the imaginary goald of 2025 delegates and not the 2209 pledged delegate count which includes Florida and Michigan] then in that case, Clinton really doesn't owe the democratic party anything.

But based on her interview with Wolf Blitzer in the Situation Room today, it does not appear that Clinton will desert the democratic party in these 2008 elections.

it's a good though...

I think she could pull it off.

Wow...

What a concept.
