Carly, really?
by QTpi
Carly Fiorino is McCain's key to the White House? Are you kidding? People either have short memories or are completely out of touch to take whatever she says as worthy. She's the reason Hewlett Packard imploded on itself. It took kicking her out for it to recover to so-so respectability.

Meg Whitman, on the other hand, presents a more persuasive personality because eBay can actually be called a successful company under her tenure.

If Fiorino maintains her "I'm the head business honcho of the McCain campaign" position, then I'll definitely have to agree with McCain that economics is not his forte. And, that evaluating people's worth is not his forte either.

Seriously, Slate, you are insane to describe her as "hypercompetent" as CEO she was an absolute nightmare. Her solution to the operational problems of getting two high-tech manufacturing companies with IT clientele to merge? Let's implement an ERP system and NOT appoint a COO to manage the project. Her solution to fighting with Dell when Dell had the advantage on price and cost of business? Let's squander our advantage in R&D.

People despise her not out of sexism but because of the stink of incompetence. Its a small wonder that someone so inept didn't end up in W's cabinet.
