Great Read Seth

That was quite possibly the most enjoyable article I've read in three years on Slate. I just finished two ten-page papers in 24 hours to meet the deadline. Instead of starting them months ago when I first learned of them, I enjoyed my free time all semester and then spent the all-nighter to get them done. Thanks for the heads-up that this behavior trait will never change!

His article is spot on. I have a chapter to write and while I have been writing it, I often get distracted into reading Slate and writing in the Fray. The point he makes about getting creative spurts out of looong hours of idleness is true.

I read this article while at the same time trying to call my IT department to block Slate from my work computer so I would spend less time hanging around the Fray. How's that for irony?
