Okay, you really wanna know?
by Jospry

This is for all the men here who think they are entitled to know about their wives or girlfriends past. What you don't know is we are protecting YOUR fragile egos by NOT telling you. Don't you get it? Yeah, we had sex with a few guys (okay, more than a few) and it was GREAT for the most part. Is that what you want to hear?

Women don't ask these questions of men generally. We're not so stupid and immature as to think/expect you to tell us all your lovers were awful in bed. We hope you've had some good experiences so you can bring that wisdom and experience to our relationship. We just don't need to know the details.

If a woman is with you, she has chosen you. Don't worry about the past.

Actually, when I was single I did want to know at some point an estimate of a girl I was dating's sexual activity. If you are sexually active, you are entitled to have at least some idea. People that are promiscuous have a very high chance of having at least one STD. I feel that I should have a right to reduce my chances of getting infected with a lifelong disease, don't you?

As for saving a man's fragile ego, not every guy has a fragile ego, only the guys that haven't achieved much in life or that don't have much dating experience. Maybe this is who you are used to dating? There's not much a woman that I was dating could say that would hurt my ego, so I find it funny that there is a long-running stereotype among women that all men have such fragile egos when in fact the opposite is quite obviously true. I haven't met a woman yet that wouldn't go either into a crying fit or a fit of rage if I told her that her butt looked fat.

I have made it a habit for as long as I have been sexually active to practice full disclosure with any new lovers. More importantly, before any relationship got serious enough to discuss exclusivity, my new honey and I always went to Planned Parenthood and each got a clean bill of health.

After all, if a girl is going to lie or fudge about the number and quality of her lovers, do you really think she would tell you she has herpes?

Don't just take people's word for that stuff.
