This is what makes Clinton's campaign so absurd and her supporters so pathetic.

Even if you grant that Obama will have trouble gaining the votes of racist whites, they clearly are not supporting Clinton, either. If they were, they'd be volunteering and contributing. But the aren't.

As a result, the only rational conclusion is the same I and others have been stating since the start of this bullshit: white voters who claim they won't support Barack wouldn't vote for Clinton either, if given the choice of McCain.

All this process has done is flush out the true GOPig blue collar whites from the Democratic Party. These are people who are against a black candidate but don't have the werewithal, inclination or ability to support a rival campaign.

In other words, who needs them?

Answer: nobody. McCain can take half to two thirds of Clinton's supporters in the fall, and it will be a drop in the bucket compared to the independents and re-engergized progressive/minority wing of the Democratic Party.

It says a lot about some of the more aggressive Obama supporters in that they will call any challenger absurd and any dissenters pathetic.

Would any more reasonable Obama supporter be willing to challenge this individual?

To own the truth, I do not see myself as either absurd or pathetic. I just like good government -- and I actually think I have a sense of what good government means.

Uh huh. Well, then while your candidate was begging for your support in money and volunteers, you and the rest of them did nothing.

So, while you might not consider yourself pathetic or absurd, that is exactly what you would call a constituency that sat around and watched their candidate be kicked to the curb while the entire time disparaging their opponent's supporters as "naive" and "taken in" by an empty suit.

You folks are like drunken Titanic passengers with water up to their nose scoffing that no fucking iceberg could possibly sink their beautiful big ship.

glug glug glug.

i'm luke-warm on obama, but i think doodah's analysis is right. racists will vote gop no matter wehat, just like they always do, so loss of the racist vote means little to the dems.

Yes, that's right. But in the meantime, I'm still picking shreds of Clinton flesh from my gore encrusted maw.

Cheers!
