I think you hit the nail on the head. Can you imagine Jackie Kennedy coming out and publicly stating that LBJ, that redneck hick from Texas, would not be on her husband's ticket, or even Hillary doing a similar thing.

Both women may have influenced their husbands, as do all First Ladies I'm sure, but most have the decorum to defer to their husbands....after all they are/were the president, or are/were trying to be the president.

I think Obama's wife is Jeremiah Wright in a wig. She is going to hurt him severely in this election.
