I'd like to know in whose world does a legal activity like drinking equal a distasteful activity like "slutty" behavior. Mom has her name-calling mixed up. Daughter was inconsiderate, but nothing indicates that she was slutty. Going to a bar does not make one a slut.

I'd react the same way if my mother was so quick to judge me after I went to a bar with a girlfriend.

Going to a bar does not automatically make you a slut, but drinking too much can make your inhibitions lower than normal. By normal I mean rock fucking bottom.

I really don't think that is typical of most people who go to bars, even when they do have too much.

Therefore, the OP's point stands. Bars and drinking do not = slut.

The letter writer was inconsiderate. She should have spent at least one evening with her mom and her kids, but the slut thing does not follow, unless her mom left out some details, like suspicious wet t-shirts or used condoms on the floorboard of the car.

Good thing you had the alcohol to blame all that stuff on. Otherwise people might think you had poor judgement.
