I think liberals can embrace Justice Scalia's theory while achieve liberal results. Interpreting the text, history , traditions, intent of the founding fathers' era need not achieve a conservative result. It's all a matter of interpretation and finding the right material.

How one reads certain terms in the constitution differs from one judge to another, and there's certainly no right answer, judges just have find convincing arguments to support them.
