This article represents substandard reporting and analysis. How can you be a political correspondent in the U.S. without even having a basic understanding of race and how it affects the political process, John Dickerson? Even if you didn't understand race this time last year, why didn't you educate yourself over the past several months when you noticed that a black person was running for president?

Your statement that Hillary Clinton's statements were not racial motivated or a form of race-baiting insults the intelligence of your readers. Your position is at best naive. At worst, it is your attempt to defend not only Clinton's racism and race-baiting, but racism in general. Are you getting a check from Slate or from the Clinton campaign for writing this article? If you saw a lynching, you would claim it was an accident, that the victim fell into a rope and hanged himself with nobody else's interference. How does this kind of deceptive analysis help us understand this election? How can a reader trust this kind of reporting?

(btw. YOUR race is irrelevant. I don't know what your background is. However, even people of color can be in denial about how racism works because it is so helpful when one is sucking up to white people.)

Relax. John Dickerson is actually on your side. Most of his articles are very much pro-Obama in nature and content. It's just that once every third or so article he tosses out something like this in a forlorn attempt to convince Hillary supporters that he's actually a neutral journalist.

But really, relax. The next two or three articles in a row from John will convince you that he is the most brilliant and balanced pro-Obama journalist working for Slate. In other words he will be taking a knife to that hateful bitch, Hillary.

But, if you really must immediately get your fill of Hillary hatred and blind bigotry, skip on down a couple of top posts and open up Doodahman's hate-filled diatribe against working class White people and, almost incidentally, Hillary. It should make any loyal Obamacrat feel great. I do think that he FORGOT to call her a racist White bitch, but I'm sure that he thoroughly implied it.

That should make you feel much better. Hell, if you want you can even pretend that it came from John Dickerson. Although he will remove all the gratuitous obscenities from his next article, no doubt it, too, will let you feel very, very, good about Obama and about the CLEAN race Obama has been running in comparison to the EVIL racist Hillary.
