We need an anti-executive privilege amendment

The Nixon case showed how effective Congress can investigate the president when a John Dean comes forth. The Bush case shows how ineffective Congress can be when no such person does. The initiative remains within the White House. Therefore, executive privilege must go.

I propose a Constitutional amendment: no claims of executive privilege will be recognized in Congress' inquiry into and publishing corruption, maladministration, or inefficiencies in the Executive branch.

all those flag burning, marriage defining, term limiting, and other silly amendments the cons are continually proposing.

We need such an amendment as the issues is clearly important and is much argued over. A clear statement would sure help.

In fact, the amendment should define what EP is and is not, as it is currently no mention of the term. Bush's use of the term comes from a very liberal interpretation of the Constitution (as a living document, perhaps).
