She has taken at least 60 percent of the white votes in most of the primary contests.There is almost no reason to believe that Mccain will not do just as well among whites if not better.If Mccain gets a little over 60 percent of white votes it will be almost impossible for Obama to win the election because whites are 70 percent of the electorate and blacks only 12 percent.Obama also is not popular among Hispanics who are 15 percent of the vote.He will probably lose the majority of them as well.Race is very important to most white Americans. It is the reason for white flight from neighborhoods when blacks move in.Most of the posters on this topic are living in a dream world if they think race will not be one of the biggest factors in the election.

factor in the Democratic Primary Race, and while I agree that Race will be a very important factor in the General Election.... and, granted that Race is very important to most Whites.... Blacks as a group are just legally more Racist in the United States at this point in time.

While Senator Clinton has taken 60% of the White Vote Senator Obama has taken upwards of 90% of the Black Vote..... and while Senator McCain may, may get up to 70 or 80% of the White Vote (as Republicans are by and large very White) Senator Obama may pick up 97% or higher of the Black Vote in the General Election.
