Hillary v. Obama: brilliant strategy?

It occurs to me from time to time that every day that those two candidates hog the camera is another day that McCain has to beg for exposure. As long as the media is wrapped around this drama, the right in unable (mostly) to seize the agenda and start their slime cycles. Further, as long as the Democratic party has two candidiates, the GOP is forced to develop two game plans and prevented from settling into their own campaign of character assassination. So, the Dems hog the spotlight, and the agenda, to a large extent as a resut. Stretching this advantage now into May. Also, it seems preferable to have the candidate's dirty laundry aired within the family, rather than by the GOP, given a choice. These questions about Rev Wright are ugly, but just imagine if it was McCain riasing them. They won't let go. if Obama is lucky, Rev Wright will be old news by the time the GOP gets its turn. It is clear that as soon as the Dem question is settled, the GOP will roar into action, with the media ready to cover the new horserace. The longer the Dems can put this off, the better. Do you think the Democratic party is that smart? nah.
Nah, you're giving them far too much ...

credit. The Dems can't organize their way out of the proverbial paper bag, we both know that. At this point, I'm getting far more interested in our OWN Senate race -- what are your thoughts on Mark Udall? And is John Salazar safe in Nov? Is he running for re-election?

That's why I and I know why my mom is so upset. What a mess they have made of this election cycle.

And clearly the DNC did not vet on the Wright issue.

but Sar is right..once you've seen a presidential contendor's spiritual inspiration scream' Goddamn America!!!!!" you 've seen it a million times...what possible residual effect could that have,eh?

lol.

btw Lunesta A song above for "Our Girl"

Are we having fun yet?

ahhh so that is where the DNC have been hiding. I heard that Dean is trying to get out by punching a hole out of the bottom, (the bag is dangling over a trash compactor) but they aren't allowing Edwards to vote, and without his vote it's a stalemate.

It's something we will remember and always link to the Democratic party.

Actually I'll go one better, it will be linked to the democratic party and if the Dems fuck up and we go downhill more than we are now, then we will not vote Dem for a hell of a long time in America. Period.

With Dean at the helm the DNC has already messed up, Big Time!

It will be a long tiime before the Democrats will live this fiasco down and the Republicans are smiling all the way.

Brilliant?

I'm worried that once the Dems settle on a candidate, which may not be until the convention, McCain will seem like a breath of fresh air and will no doubt be played up as such by his adoring, obsequious, flattering, servile, fawning, sycophantic pals in the media. (Ok, it's a little redundant, but it's correct)
real quickly, in agreement here w. ...

jeqal, Laurie Ann & Mary Anne. This was a major, MAJOR "mess-up" (I'm being polite) on the DNC's part. Gov. Howard "The Screamer" Dean should NEVER have been entrusted with the 'leadership' of the Democratic Party. Could it (now) be more clear? Hang in there, ladies. We'll see what transpires in the next few weeks. Meanwhile, Happy Mother's Day in advance to you all! "L."

"Got adjectives?" :-) Hope all is well, my friend & that you are happy with your candidate's soon-to-be-victory. As you probably know, I am not. How's the seafood these days? Customarily, "L." / t. (p.s. I would apply every single one of those adjectives to the media's kid glove treatment of Sen. Obama, btw)

Oh thank you Lunesta. Same to you..A very happy Mother's Day. My little one 14 year old but he's still my baby wrote a poem for me in school. Precious always about how my eyes warm his heart. He's written similar lines before. Typical guy..gets a good line and sticks to it.

;-)

He's my heart.

You have a wonderful weekend my dear.I'm going to work so won't be around this weekend.

I am so tired, truth be told ,of the race right now. Gotta hand it to HRC though..she is tough.

I get the sense from her we alamost don't have to worry she can handle it all. But sadly, the DNC hasn't the common sense to give her the nomination. The bots acting like brownshirts and calling and emailing and threatening every single super that goes for her. It's creepy.

Ah, as I always say...this. And this too shall pass....

Best of thoughts to you and MaryAnne too.

p.s. BOTF reads like a playpen for grade schoolers, sockpuppets and playactors of the weirdest type. . Poor Moira will have to re-name BOTF soon, or else suffer the embarassment of having the current bunch of loonies be representative of its name....it's more like a sandbox than anything else these days. There used to be a Fray called Sandbox as I recall.

.Today all I saw there was a Obam supporter who posted a weird thing comparing Hillary to Hitler and one comparing Obama as a commie and stuff like 'What's you favorite color?, What do you hear now? name a funny name that has a movie theme base?' lol. dumb stuff like that all over the board.

It reads on a par with Dear Prudie...it's too boring to even check back in on.

So, lator gator, and with all the best to you, as always~

;-) (((Hugs)))
