That's how I carried my first baby as well. People say that when you carry high, you're having a girl. I did have a girl, but old wives' tales are really just guesses. I am carrying this one high and upfront as well, but I am only 4 months along so who knows. I hope you live somewhere north and won't have to deal with the HOT summer being super-pregnant!
Almost all of my friends were done with bars shortly after college as well. I personally went to grad school at night and worked full time after college, so I missed out on the bar scene in my early 20's. I started going again about 30 and it only took me about 6 months to get bored. You end up meeting long term drunks and 20 somethings who think it's funny that they black out every weekend and can't remember what they did. How is that fun to NOT even remember if you had fun? Of course, not everyone is in the category.
One girl in particular told me how everyone in her house had passed out and someone left food in a pot on a lit stove. Of course, it eventually started to burn and catch fire. The fire alarms went off and smoke filled the house. The fire dept came and got them all out. They were LUCKY to escape. This girl was unphased and thought, ha ha, we were so wasted we didn't know there was a fire, how funny! I was shocked at how she could think that passing out in a fire was humorous in any way.
So to the guy who wants to know where the hot 30 somethings and early 40 somethings are- we are everywhere else either having kids or playing with our kids. To be brutally honest- it's much more fun and rewarding than being in bars and getting hit on by drunks and losers. I am not saying the guy is a loser or a drunk, just answering why bars are usually not the place to pick up 30 and 40 somethings.
