Does anyone here like McCain's plan to raise taxes on health care?

For those that didn't know. McCain's plan is to raise taxes on your health insurance if you get it through your employer. His idea is to force people to lose their health insurance. That way, they'll have to renegotiate and lose coverage on existing conditions. Then, his buddies in the insurance industry who hatched this crazy plan in wingnut think tanks get friggin' rich as Americans pay more for worse coverage.

How many fraysters have been thinking to themselves "you know, I really wish I had to pay income tax on the health insurance I get through my employer"? Anyone?

I thought you wingy-dingies were against raising taxes. . . Guess not, so long as it's to screw over working folks to benefit insurance CEOs. Won't be the first time Mr Keating Five put America second to donor profits. Won't be the last.

He raises taxes on employer provided coverage to pay for a credit that he mails directly to "his friends" in the insurance biz, who of course will out of the goodness of their dear hearts pass along the savings to consumers. . . or not.

This is the stupidest idea I've ever seen proposed and how he thinks this is going to fly I don't know. My guess is that they just cribbed off of some winger think tank. McCain has said, after all, that he doesn't understand economics and at his age it's tough to learn new things.
