by Bio Buddy

23andMe and Navigenics use a cheap SNP scan technology that give you info on only .02% of your genome and for roughly 17-ish diseases. To truly "map your genome" you need to perform whole-genome sequencing. One company called www.knome.com does it, its the holy grail but costs $350,000.
