Christian Music
by kpm234

Christians already have hundreds of years worth of some of the best music ever written. If the Lutheran church still played Bach Cantatas during the service, I might go every day (and I am thoroughly unreligious). Then there's all the gospel music that's more modern. I understand it's not the same thing as pop culture and it's a hard sell for those trying to be cool, but it has to be a better strategy than miserably imitating decidedly un-christian pop culture.

I've always wondered about Christian pop. One would imagine that making music in the name of God would make the music better, rather than worse. With few exceptions, I find Christian pop rather embarassing. I'm not willing to sit through sub-par music and lyrics just because it has a religious theme.
