What do other people think of Hillary's solution of having the oil companies pay the gas tax?

I think it is pandering, it would take years in court to get the oil companies to comply.

Pandering?? She would strip naked, and shoot quarters out of her ass, in the middle of Times Square, NYC, if she thought that would get her elected.

She is a LYING BITCH, and can no be trusted with the office of the President of the United States, than her husband can, with a locker room full of White House interns.

The price of gas isn't the fault of the oil companies. It's the fault of US foriegn policy and unchecked energy consumption. I'm more concerned about Hillary's pledge to "obliterate Iran" if Israel is attacked.. She's laid out a scenario in which whe would order the mass-murder of millions of innocents to avenge an ally that already has its own nukes. Why are people still voting for her?

Why should the oil companies pay it? Aren't all us drivers the ones that use the roads thats repairs and maintenance is supposed to paid for by the gas tax?

Anyone who has taken Econ 101 knows that having the oil companies pay an extra tax will do nothing to help the consumer, and won't really "punish" the oil companies either. The demand for gasoline is relatively inelastic due to a lack of viable substitutes. The oil companies will simply pass the burden of this tax onto the consumers.

Bad idea.
