Obama Is More Catholic Than Alleged Catholics

A Catholic, of which I am one, is often, but not always, well versed not only in Catholic Doctrine but also in Catholic Theology and, many, in Catholic Philosophy and they can, if you were to allow us, bore you to death with all the logical links up to Aristotles and his teacher Plato. In short, we studied the Summa Theologica of St. Thomas Aquinas and I have never heard a philosophical argument that was hard to refute -sometimes because they fell asleep in drunken stupor or left, to never to come back. It is alleged that Aquinas recommended a glass of red wine at night. He did not specify the size of the glass or whether this was to be before or after prayers. But, I digress.
We Catholics are as flawed as anybody and would be ready to prove it by pointing out the flaws in other Catholics. But, that would be a boring dumb waste of time.
My point is that Candidate Obama needs to get in touch with some Catholic familiar with the Philosophical writings of Maritain and Gilson to describe the Catholic arguments for all the views that Sen. Obama has already proposed. Sen .Obama does not have alter even one comma in any of his views on anything, he only needs to add Catholic "spin", if you wish, the Catholic Dogma in support of his views for the non-cognescenti. the ignoramus.
Regretfully, too many Catholics are unfamiliar with the true Catholic teachings. Did you know, for example, that there were segregated orders of nuns? That school segregation was practiced in Catholic schools in the South? I could go on to illustrate my point but what matters, now, is that all that changed long ago and I am the proud product of Catholic Univesities; I don't know how proud they are, since I did not become a priest or a monk, but some have indicated their approval and "some of my best friends are" Catholic.
If Catholics vote against Obama they are voting for the right to kill people in the War in Iraq, which is contrary to the Commandment "Thou Shalt Not KILL", that Moses and Charlton Heston brought to us. A view endorsed by all the Popes, particularly Pope John Paul II who wrote "Love and Responsibility" and apologizes 94 times for admitted "faults of the Church and asked pardon" for them, with expressions like "I ask forgiveness". Our Catholic friends could read this in "When a Pope asks Forgiveness" by Luigi Accattoli, 1998.
Pope John Paul II also wrote "On the Christian Meaning of Humban Suffering" (Salvifici Doloris, 1984) Apostolic Letter, which may also be new to our Catholic friends.
That Catholics are against Abortion and that there is no difference between abortion and divorce rates between Catholics and non-Catholics, may also tell you something. That Clinton and Obama's views on abortion are identical yet they prefer Clinton might, or not, tell us that Catholics have something about wanting to appear super-patriotic Americans and some might be in favor of the War in Iraq to continue for another 100 years.
There was a problem like that investigated by Catholic Senator, Joe McCarthy who also wanted to appear to be a super-Patriot. We do want to be patriotic, I am a multi-year Vietnam Vet.
We often have a long-term view of issues. That some have not yet noted that war involves killing, tells you something about the intellectual analysis done. I am sorry to admit that I know some and their illogical contradictions are unshakable, as unshakable as those of non-Catholics. May God Have Mercy On All Our Souls!
