Snow Day Dammit

I've got a few minutes this afternoon because by my tee time was cancelled because of the....snow, so here's my quick take.

Talked out- The going rate for this is $20.00 for 5 minutes, I believe. I have sometimes felt that I could do a banging job myself, at this sort of thing. I see myself, head full of rollers, dirty housedress, matted fuzzy slippers, bingo dabber in one hand and phone in the other......yeah , baby, un-huh. What am I wearing?

Adage Lady- What I love about Prudie is how when we all share our problems, it enlarges our perspective on humanity. This problem makes the "self addressed thank you note" dilemma of Easter week seem positively Shakespearian. I believe I owe many apologies there. Sorry.

Teen Love- Am I the only one creeped out by this recent interest in giving advice to minors online? Can you say liability, Slate? Or, is it just that the only audience that find Prudie's advice credible are still honouring their chastity pledges?

Out-law- Did he marry you or join your cult? While I previously mentioned here that reading Prudie might enlarge one's perspective, I didn't mean you. You should read the roll call of the fallen in battle.

Not Formal - Unless your name is George, Bob or Harold (George, Bob, Harold's, please don't write me), if your wearing of a skirt incites office gossip, you're officially working in the dullest place on earth. And just to add an observation on the value of thoughtful dressing. If I slump around I think of myself as just as just as accomplished, successful etc as if I had dressed- until I run into an ex, a formal rival or someone from the old neighbourhood. Oh, and should I run into one of them when they take a quick nip into Safeway to pick up chicken soup for their flu and they are at the pyjama disadvantage I will ascribe none of the afore mentioned qualities to them and flash my tennis bracelet.

Yeah, I'm shallow. Oh, I think I'll needle point that onto a pillow when bingo's done........gotta get the phone, might be a "sweet, sensitive, attractive, healthy, fit, successful, smart" man who cares for me deeply and has his Amex ready......

Snow?? We were in high 80's

Took a three hour bike ride. Got some gardening done.

Love your answers!

Honestly. Snow. It's melted, but we're looking at a some more tonight. We are weary....

Snow? Where the heck are you? Around here, "snowmen" are usually made of styrofoam balls, and even then, kids aren't sure if that's what they really look like. We're supposed to be in the 90's (F) later this week.

Winnipeg. Oh and it could very easily be 90 F here late in the week as well. We have two seasons here- winter and mosquitos.

Our two seasons are summer and the other 3 months.

Oh and if we spray for the mosquitos, the season is renamed 'construction" Ha. Have a great day!
