Admin Day
by Westside
I have only worked for one company that ever took the time or effort to thank anyone beyond a paycheck. It was an auto dealership and every year on Admin Day the owner and his wife took all the women in the dealership out for the day. And that meant all of us, from the bookkeeper down to the file clerk. We were driven to a very nice restaurant, had a great meal, a few drinks and were back home by early evening. Our boss and his wife were great people and we worked really hard for them and it was nice that they noticed. I will say the real complaints came from the men who worked there, who felt like it was sexist, unfair and favoritism. So I guess the writer is rights, somebody is not going to be happy. Course, that doesn't explain why Mother's Day is more popular than Father's Day but I guess that's whole other story.
