Wait a second...

The February poll about Truman was hardly a question about his popularity. It seems to have asked specifically whether he would succeed at cleaning up corruption. That's a whole different question. It isn't even asking whether Truman is corrupt. It's asking voters to predict whether he could succeed at a task they might have considered nearly impossible. It wasn't asking whether they approved of Truman's presidency.
