Why does McBush need a pension?
by Beka13
I think McBush's first step to proving he cares about keeping the American people's money straight is to reimburse us for his pension. I can understand if he needed it but his sugar momma pays for everything so why does he need my money?

I hate to defend McCain, but, when you join the military, the pension, or any other benefits you get from a government job are part of the pay package. Its part of the overall compensation. Its yours. You earned it. You don't have to give it back if the rest of your life turns out well and you marry rich. Its not a question of whether he needs it. We don't have the government going around deciding when people have as much money as they need. I suppose a rule that said you couldn't collect a fed gov't pension (military) while still collecting a fed gov't salary (senate) might make sense, but McCain earned his pension from the gov't just as much as anyone earns any pension or other benefit from a public or private sector employer.

dbguy,

Hear Hear!!! I keep hearing the same thing about folks who are "rich" getting social security...same thing...you pay into it...it's yours...period. The real crime is when folks draw from the social security fund and never have paid a dime into it.

Regards,

COL M
