Looking A Gift Horse In The Mouth
by Mara5525

What a confusing video. First, why the fruit? I mean, really - why the Fruit!?!

Okay, I can move beyond the fruit if I have to. And I will. Now, as to the advice given....

I think it's a tad bit boorish to tell someone (should they happen to ask where you put their gift, which they Shouldn't do, but might) - that you just didn't have enough room for it.

I mean: Ouch!

Is this how you treat a friend? It's like you are saying: oh, yes, well, that stupid little thing you gave me is really not something I'd ever consider putting in my home, you know!

All quite true, but Must the point be driven home like a bunch of monkeys on a rampage for bannanas?

Can't you simply say: I gave it to my mother-in-law, as she saw it and fell in LOVE with it!

Sure, it's a lie. So what? And hey, enough with the fruit, already.

I'm with you. If (as the gift recipient stated) this person who gave you the gift is important to you & you value the friendship - then why not put the plaque up or out. Who's it harming...it's not an offensive saying. If by chance they give you another - then put away the old one & display the new one!

It's a small gesture to make a good friend (which can be hard to comeby) feel you appreciate them for who they are!!
