You're Comparing Carter To Bush?

Rosner baselessly asserts that Carter is as loose with facts as the war criminal who lied us into a war with Iraq, asserting on March 6, 2003 that Iraq was not disarming even as Hans Blix was preparing to report to the U.N. and the world that Iraq was indeed disarming. Mr. Rosner, how do you justify equating Carter with the man who lied in order to justify an immoral war.
As for Rosner's assertion that Carter is equally afflicted as Bush with messianism, I again must ask Mr. Rosner to provide some evidence. Bush's messianism caused him to disregard the enormous evidence indicating the absence of WMD in Iraq in order to launch a catastrophic crusade that neither interdicted WMD nor brought democracy to Iraq. Where is Mr. Rosner's example of a similarly catastrophic messianic misadventure on the part of Carter?
I would advise Rosner to read the editorial of his own paper and acknowledge that Jimmy Carter has fared considerably better in his efforts to bring peace to the middle east than those who invariably advocate bombing and boycotts. For twerps like Rossner to dismiss the man who forged peace between Egypt and Israel is laughable - and ridiculous.

This so called "war criminal" you are referring to and people like him are the reason you are free to openly criticize the POTUS. As for comparing Carter to Bush? There is no comparison. As I recall Carter wasn't able to talk Iran into not taking those people hostage. When he finally did decide to take action to rescue the hostages it was a disaster. No POTUS is perfect and fault free and none ever will be. This does not excuse their actions, it is just a plain simple fact. There will always be people like you with nothing better to do than play armchair quarterback. Unless you are privy to information that the normal citizen is not, the all you know is what you heard or read about the lack of WMD and the alleged lies told by Bush to justify the invasion of Iraq. I am honest enough to admit that I do not know the whole story and not know if we were justified or not. I am also sensible enough to understand that no amount of criticism or second guessing Bush will change the fact, that valid reason or not, we are there..... Nothing can change that. Peace talks have their time and place, but much like any fight there comes a time when you have to either run away or fight and sometimes running away is not an option. I can not help but believe that if we have another "Carter like" POTUS then when the next 9/11 hits us all we will do is try to talk to the terrorists and understand why they are so angry with us. Terrorists have made it clear they don't want to talk they just want us and our way of life DEAD! Ham-mas has made it clear that this is what they want for Israel and only a fool would think they will stop there.
